It’s a powerful time as we surf the energy waves of Summer, Solstice Season, Eclipse Season, Retrograde Season, and apparently, Earthquake Season. This week sees several key alignments and retrogrades, amping up the potential for us to do some major healing and focusing on our mission here on planet Earth.
Starlight, star bright…
The Sun in the water sign of Cancer aligned with fixed star Sirius (the brightest star in the sky, and our “Spiritual Sun”) over the weekend, and meets up with the North Node (speaking to our life’s destiny) on Tuesday. Aspects to Neptune, Pallas Athena, Saturn, and Pluto indicate that while we may want balance, there’s more to be gained by diving deep and flowing with it all. It’s an intense transformative time. The two brightest stars in our sky are shining on why we’re here, and how we might re-imagine and re-construct our life to best fulfill our life’s purpose. Utilize the element of water to help nurture and inspire you.
Mercury and Chiron begin their retrograde journeys this week, bringing the retrograde count to seven planets (joining Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto & Ceres). Retrogrades are times for review, taking us backward over familiar ground so that we might see it in a different way. Both planets are in fire signs, in trine to one another, so there’s a lot of energy at play. In addition, they’re both currently stationary, adding an extra buzz to the air.
“I gotta be me!”
Mercury is the messenger of the gods and speaks to our mind, nervous system and communication. In retrograde, it’s renowned for causing glitches in communication and electronics. Its position in Leo adds playfulness, passion, and drama to how we’re all expressing ourselves, especially early in the week as Mercury trips over Mars on its turnaround, adding an additional boost of energy… and potentially, aggression. Leo also means that hearts are involved, and pride – trying to impress others, perhaps. Best to aim your attention inwards on your own “why’s”. Mercury remains in retrograde until the end of the month.
“Who am I anyway?”
Chiron is our Wounded Healer, triggering traumas and vulnerabilities to bring them up for healing. In Aries, we’re digging in to the very core of who we are. Chiron continues its retrograde until mid-December. Be conscious of the roles Chiron tends to play: victim, villain &/or heroic healer. This is an opportunity for you to re-write your story.
This is a good time to lean into the creativity of your self-expression. Play! Create! Surf those waves! It may reveal new facets in understanding YOU… &/or who you are meant to be.
