Your Energy Balance Sheet

You should cultivate enough self-awareness to know how you spend your energy. You should know the negative charges on your pranic reserve force. Yogis know how to replenish this reserve, but most people don’t and just keep taking from it – it ages you prematurely. We still don’t fully understand how the cellular makeup works, but we do understand that when we practice Kundalini yoga we have an undeniable, different type of vitality and radiance.

It’s easy to experience that the more oxygenated you are, the more energy you have! Anytime you feel stressed in your mind or body – especially body – that’s when you know this pranic reserve is low. You need more yoga, or pranayama, or meditation. Tally your energy sheet. Utilize gratitude to invoke the positive. As your reserve gets filled, your dis-eases become eases. With more energy, you can build constructive patterns and deconstruct destructive patterns, letting that gratitude and positivity ripple out. Be aware of how you spend your energy.

Commanding the Elements to Command the Self

In order to have command over your life, you have to be able to command the elements. Also known as the Tattvas, there are five on this planet – earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Combining them is a key to self-mastery and leadership. The mantra SA TA NA MA contains the frequency of all five, helping to balance your own internal elements so that you can command the external ones.

Everyone wants the ability to command, but it’s a process – first you must learn to Obey, Serve, Love, and slowly Command will come. With patience, balance, and practice, SA TA NA MA can give you fundamental command of the elements, and therefore your human incarnation.

Relationships as a Sacred Agreement

All relationships are a sacred act, whether it’s one of business, friendship, or romance. The intimacy of these great commitments can teach you how to clear your karma. The more solidarity, kindness and compassion you can hold, the stronger your aura becomes. When you exalt yourself it raises the vibration around you. The people you’re around are exalted, too.
A relationship is only as good as what you bring to it. If you can’t share, you’re not mature enough to be in a relationship. Are you using the other person as an excuse to not look at yourself? Becoming a better partner (and person!) means you give what you want in a relationship, instead of complaining that the other person isn’t giving it to you. Take that self-awareness and raise your frequency to a level where you can learn to discuss and find solutions instead of playing to your ego, and you’ll notice a shift all around you. That goodness will reflect back. Conflicts will dissolve and your whole environment will change as your aura can hold more. So, train your nervous system to handle this goodness. Your internal resources have to be developed when the external pressure is on. Your nervous system, a top resource, can hold you in a mood of reactionary stress (sympathetic) or calm (parasympathetic). The whole world is sympathetically dominated: what’s happening now? What’s next? Where’s the next place I have to be? When’s the next shoe going to drop? We have the tools to reset ourselves in Kundalini yoga. The gong affects your nervous system directly. When played wrong, it sets you into nervous anxiety, flight-or-fight mode. When played well it’ll put you into instant parasympathetic rejuvenation. Pranayama and meditation also give you the ability to reset yourself. You can shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic instantly, allowing you to handle any scenario, no matter the pressure.

The Spiritual No

Yoga to develop the Negative Mind

The Piscean era conditioned people to lie to each other. It birthed spiritual chauvinism: the assumption of what someone should look like if they’re a guru or on a spiritual path, and the judgment that follows when someone doesn’t meet this expectation. This stereotype is used to sell so many things, but you can’t buy spirituality. You can’t pay your way into an initiation, you have to do the work yourself. This is the Age of Aquarius, one of self-initiation, which is hard work. It takes power to decide you’re going to have enough spiritual maturity and responsibility to do something with yourself.
Disrupting spiritual chauvinism is a way to discover your sovereignty. Part of our job as leaders in this time is to deconstruct these assumptions within ourselves. When you examine yourself, you also examine how you judge others. So, one of the best mantras is “no” – reject stereotypes that don’t support you, refuse to engage in neurotic behavior, and set boundaries that serve your best self. The stereotype of a compassionate person is toxic because they would be walked all over. “No” is a very compassionate mantra, as true kindness comes with some honesty. The “Spiritual No” is a safe space where you learn more about yourself.

Think of yourself as a business, and make quarterly plans. What do you want to achieve? Set yourself up for success with a daily practice that includes mantra, pranayama and movement – think of it like the first meeting of your day.
You need mantra to set the vibration, pranayama for conscious breathing, and movement so that the body stays vital and can handle the “megawatt information syndrome” of Aquarian life. You need to know how your body moves, so you can learn how to maintain it. You need to be able to relax deeply in high-pressure situations so your nervous system can handle success. You need to cultivate self-awareness and sovereignty. Handling the polarities of prosperity is taxing, so you have to make sure you’re vibrationally fit enough to deal with it. This gives you the ability to level up and really enjoy yourself, because you can hold both the subconscious and conscious realities of whatever you want to manifest. Your aura has staying power. You get that G.O.D. ability – Generate, Organize, Deliver. A daily practice gives you the ability to truly profit, because you’re a PRO at being FIT physically, mentally and spiritually!

Replenishing the Reserve Force

Create a New Skillset around your Intelligence.

We work with the subconscious so that the way we live our life reflects our conscious desires. If it takes 8.4 million lifetimes to get to your current human form, you deserve to make the most of your incarnation and find your destiny path. Every lifetime you have the chance to cross paths with your teacher, and if you develop your intuition you won’t miss it. That’s part of your job, as a yogi in this era – you have to develop a personal quality and skillset around your intelligence, so your intuition helps you stay on the destiny path.

There are lots of things that can knock you off your path, especially in the Aquarian age. As you develop your spirituality, you become more sensitive. You have to learn how to optimize your system in this age. The more sensitive you get, the more the subconscious wants to freak out and numb itself. But if you work on the nervous system, you can learn to make educated, sovereign choices about the way you act. A Kundalini yoga practice gives you pranic reserve – you’re not taking a deep breath just to inhale, you’re creating a reserve of energy, of chi. Then when the challenges of life arrive, you can tap into that reserve and avoid freak outs or nervous breakdowns. Neuroses is a shallow, arhythmic breathing pattern. When you can control your breath, you can control yourself.

Treasure Trove

Invoking an Inner Prosperity

Use this auspicious time to look at your programming and get over your personal problems in the new year. If you want sovereignty with your thoughts, you need to do some sort of daily work on your patterning and get society out of your head. Community, especially spiritual community, can create a foundation of accomplishment and keep you lifted. Mirror neuron patterning opens you up to the community’s joy. Your personal problems start to fade, and your triumphs expand. You position yourself to catch a new frequency, a new capacity, so you can utilize this incarnation on earth (and accomplish your New Year’s Resolutions).

When you try to invoke something, you also invoke its polarity. So when your frequency is high enough, you can utilize both sides of that polarity. You can use the energy in the challenge, grief or loss to be creative. You can raise your vibration enough so that instead of succumbing to the negative, you can hold it along with the prosperity you invoked and use both to your advantage.  You don’t have to be negative and crazy to be inspired. It can look alchemical, like creating something out of nothing.
