How does sound turn into light?

A special evening class that includes performance art after yoga and meditation: A woman is a living legacy, and the poetry is a tribute to women through history into the future.

Part of the feminine yearning is to be seen. In community we can offer this to each other in a constructive way when we share our art with each other. Women who are trying to get attention are very unhappy and women who are attentive are very fulfilled. That is what you are training for with your Kundalini practice. To be attentive. To tend to one another. Then the attention that we actually yearn for is available. We can be seen. It’s beautiful but it requires a stretch to put yourself in the position to be seen (even though we innately crave it). When you do share, a part of you gets touched and then you show up more constructively. You are no longer obsessed with trying to get attention. That desperate obsession is a problem, and it is the problem you have in all your relationships.

We can weave, through our sound, a new world. The poetry in this class is an installation in that mission. When you’re dealing with a subconscious cultural pattern it’s heavy and this is about being able to extract a new mythology and weaving a new story for the future. This is matrix bending. As women who are the most powerful on the planet, we can really create revolution by deconstructing these programs that have been running through all of us from the Patriarchy. That is what the practice is about. We are going through a mutation process to create a new reality.
