We grew up reading our horoscope for our Sun sign not knowing there was a whole world hidden across the zodiac. The Sun or so we believed, represented our entire astrological profile. But in fact, it is one sliver of a much larger and expansive story.
In the last few decades, astrology has skyrocketed in popularity and its understanding has spread far beyond the simple Sun sign forecast. In the modern age, we refer to the “Big Three” — Sun, Moon and Rising — as the three most important facets of our (astrological) personality.
Each of the planets represent a different aspect of ourselves – not to mention directional points, planetary nodes, fixed stars, asteroids, etc. that also define us. Any one planet – or more likely, several at a time – will be featured in the story of our lives. But when we want to know what is the most important thing happening, how we should react, and how we should feel, focus on the Sun, Moon and Rising Signs.
