Jovanna Lopez, urban farmer and food advocate in San Antonio, Texas.
Jovanna is one of the stewards of the Garcia Street Farm, 4.2 acres, of urban growing space in Eastside San Antonio that provides produce to it’s direct community, specifically San Antonio Housing Authority residents. She is also the co-founder of The People’s Nite Market, a night-time farmer’s market that fights local food insecurity by providing local, farm-fresh foods at a time that is accessible to people who work weekends.
