Class Description
Every planet has “nodes” – positions in the sky where the planet’s orbital path crosses the ecliptic, the Earth’s path around the Sun on the celestial sphere. There are two nodes that directly oppose each other – the Ascending (North) vs. the Descending (South) – and they travel together across the zodiac.
As the Moon is the closest object to the earth, we are especially attuned to its rhythms and behaviors. The Moon represents our inner emotional world, our feelings, moods, dependencies, feminine receptive energy and sense of security. The Moon’s nodes, then, unite and balance this inner self, opening us up to opportunities and work to stabilize and expand our emotional body. They present lessons of this lifetime and they show us where we have been and were we are going.
