Maria Soriano is a voice leader, communicator and author with a focus in personal growth, health and creativity. She offers singing and verbal embodied practices to enhance communication, wellbeing and consciousness. Spanish born and originally trained as a classical singer, she developed a career as a performer and pedagogist that took her from Early Music to Free Improvisation and Primal Singing that she has developed both in concert and in seminars, collaborating with different organizations (Kingston University Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Refugee Action, Kingston Mind, the Bloomsbury Clinic Patients Network amongst others). Maria trained in Singing for the Lung and Singing for the Brain, and is an Associate member of the The Royal Society for Public Health and was director and creator of Singing4Health CIC.

Her interest in the use of voice is not limited to singing but to all kinds of expression and how getting our voice to be heard can be a tool for peace and change. To this extent Maria teaches boundary setting, communication and integration of your speaking voice and your presence as a way to deal with difficult situations in life (harassment, abuse) and also in moving forward to achieve your purpose.

Founding member of the Music, Spirituality and Wellbeing International Network, under the direction of June Boyce-Tillman, Maria has been celebrating Wheel of the Year events and composing music for them, celebrates nature and the importance and fruitfulness of ritual in our lives.
