Rabbi Karen received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in Psychology in 1996, and was ordained in 2004 by the Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in 2004 – with a focus on Jewish mysticism. While pursuing these degrees, she also received certifications in homeopathy and clinical hypnotherapy, and spent a year studying Chinese medicine. After serving as a congregational Rabbi for several years, she left the ‘mainstream’ to create a mystically based community, within which she provides individual spiritual counseling, congregational rituals, officiation for life cycle events, and lectures on a wide range of subjects dealing with consciousness of mind, body and spirit. She lives in service of the healing of the Shechinah – both manifest as the Mother Earth and unmanifest as the Divine feminine, and to the experience of God as the union of masculine and feminine in the Divine sacred Marriage.
