Class Description
Lisa is originally from Dublin, Ireland and has over 17 year’s experience of training and working professionally in Dance, Theatre, Film & TV. She trained at the prestigious Urdang Academy in Covent Garden, London for three years (BA Hons Musical Theatre & Dance).
Lisa has worked in various Musicals, Dance Shows and Theatre productions all over the UK, France, Ireland and even London’s West End! Lisa is also an established choreographer across all dance forms and has choreographed for many Theatre and production companies including Opera Theatre Ireland.
She first started performing in Burlesque shows at the famous Café de Paris in London as ‘Kitty Darling’ after her success in London she was invited to perform in various venues around Paris. Lisa then went on to write and direct the first Burlesque theatre production in Ireland, ‘Midnight in the Republic’ at the renowned Gaiety Theatre. She now also produces and choreographs Ireland's biggest Burlesque shows.
Lisa loves teaching and mentoring and has taught Burlesque classes for over 10 years. As a result of her classes she created the Irish Burlesque Academy and has produced most of Ireland’s top Burlesque performers. Her main focus is on using Burlesque as a form to celebrate the inherent beauty and power in being Woman and encouraging her students to find their own sensual self- expression in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
