Every lifetime you have the chance to cross paths with your teacher, and if you develop your intuition you won’t miss it. There are lots of things that can knock you off your path, especially in the Aquarian age. As you develop your spirituality, you become more sensitive. You have to learn how to optimize your system in this age. The more sensitive you get, the more the subconscious wants to freak out and numb itself. But if you work on the nervous system, you can learn to make educated, sovereign choices about the way you act. A Kundalini yoga practice gives you pranic reserve – you’re not taking a deep breath just to inhale, you’re creating a reserve of energy, of chi. Then when the challenges of life arrive, you can tap into that reserve and avoid freak outs or nervous breakdowns. Neuroses is a shallow, arhythmic breathing pattern. When you can control your breath, you can control yourself.
