Shabd Kriya is especially powerful when practiced at night before bed, helping the body drop into deep, relaxed sleep while giving the nerves space to regenerate. With regular practice, the rhythm of the breath begins to organize itself subconsciously—even during sleep—so the mantra and breath pattern start to live within you naturally. Over time, this can refine how you think, work, share, love, and meet challenge, bringing more rhythm, steadiness, and coherence into daily life.
Mystically, this meditation is understood through the power of 11 and 22: 11 as the number of Infinity in the material world, and 22 as longing and mastery over the mental realm. Regulating the breath in this rhythm gives the mind the power to stretch toward the Infinite. Shabd Kriya is praised for its profound effect on the personality—building radiance, and with radiance, patience: the first condition of real love.
