A Kundalini yoga practice gives you pranic reserve – you’re not taking a deep breath just to inhale, you’re creating a reserve of energy, of chi. Then when the challenges of life arrive, you can tap into that reserve and avoid freak outs or nervous breakdowns. Neuroses is a shallow, arhythmic breathing pattern. When you can control your breath, you can control yourself.
