This Week in Astrology: It’s All About Balance

 

Balancing acts…

Relationships and resources are up this week as Pluto squares off with Venus, and completes a grand earth trine with Mars and Vesta. Pluto deals with power and control – who has it, and how it’s being wielded. Look to your relationships to see how you are being controlled, or how you yourself are empowering or overpowering your significant others. The same with money – how are you finagling your finances? Or are your finances finagling you? Pluto is our great transformer, helping to dismantle the things that no longer serve us so that they may be rebuilt & restructured in a more conscious way.

Venus has recently returned home to Libra, so the harmony it seeks may be disrupted a bit as Pluto reveals the dissonances that are pulling us out of tune. Short term discomforts may be necessary to reveal truths we’ve been reluctant to see. Think of balance sheets and the weighing scales of Libra. Do your energetic expenditures balance with what is coming in? Are there priorities you’re missing in the plus or minus columns? Are you attracting the resources that give value to your life? Empower yourself!

Mars and Pluto dig beneath the surface to get at the hidden truth of things to help reveal a truer you. They ask you to discern your deepest desires, and if they’re seeing the light of day. Vesta locks in the spiritual quotient, keeping a flame burning as we peer into the dark. Align your desires with the divine, and see how the universe responds.

 

On the move…

Mercury moves into Scorpio this Thursday, inviting us into deep thoughts and deep conversations. The acumen of Mercury’s mind may also find us playing sleuth, investigating the mysteries of our lives as we suss out some of the psychology behind our choices and actions. An opposition to Uranus over the weekend opens our mind to more out-of-the-box thinking. Dig in!

Mars moves into Libra on the same day, adding some energy into our balancing act, and bringing the sexy back into our romantic relationships. Libra loves to love, while Mars emphasizes our quest to know ourselves. Be mindful that our close relationships (romantic, platonic, business…) are the very reflections in which we may find ourselves revealed.

 

Be still and know…

Lilith comes into conjunction with Neptune in Pisces on Monday, and the two oppose Juno the next day. Neptune is our dreamer, opening our mind to the mystical and spiritual, and teaching us about faith and things unseen. Lilith reminds us that we are more than we’ve been told we can be. The gift of this conjunction is in leaning into our imagination and knowing the truth within it. Its curse will be in doubting it &/or in failing to connect it back to the “real” world.

Juno in Virgo helps us to keep our footing here on Earth and reminds of our commitment of service to others, as well as the rhythms of energy that make up the health and well-being of our human existence. How might our instinctual “knowing” and tuning into the collective consciousness inform us about illness, wellness, and connectedness? Imagine what we can accomplish if we just believe…!

Next Saturday is World Teacher’s Day. Sunday marks the anniversary of the death of our master teacher on Yogi Bhajan Remembrance Day. Take some time to meditate on and give thanks for your many teachers – who taught you your ABC’s, your A+B=C’s, and your G.O.D.’s. Each has had a part in informing, educating and/or elevating you.
