Compassion is an embodied practice that occurs with no effort if you’re practicing yoga. The biochemistry of the body becomes balanced & open, & you are able to see things from multiple perspectives. It is beyond right or wrong. It has to deal with true strength. You can hold the space for world leaders, the polarity of our world, for yourself, and others.
Because of lack of training of the mind, it’s hard to tell the difference between reality and imagination. We need to strengthen the mind with our practice to become grounded.
Being spiritual does not mean not reacting. Being spiritual actually means to react quickly, strongly, to stand up in what you believe in, to protect yourself, and protect others. We want to have a response system that is an open field. Your developing your sensory system so that you can sense what is coming and you are prepared for it.
This age is all about self-initiation. If you are living a conscious life, you are creating your narrative. If you are living a subconscious life, others are creating the narrative for you.
