Ida Resi Alit was born into a simple farming family and gained her powers after an extended meditation-induced out of body experience in which she was considered dead. When she returned to her body, she had gained intimate spiritual knowledge as well as the ability to speak several ancient languages she had never studied. After passing many tests, she was recognized as a High Priestess at the age of 21. She is the youngest women to ever receive the title of High Priestess as well as the only woman to achieve the title on her own merit, outside of marriage.
