Abuela Sara Mijares
READ MORE
Born in the Mayaland of Yucatan, Mexico, Abuela Sara received teachings from her Mayan grandfather “Don Teul” a traditional herbal healer who taught her how to farm and take care of Mother Earth.
Abuela Sara immigrated to California when she 15 years old. She joined her father Enrique, a bracero that worked in the California fields. As a young adult, in absence of the Maya ancestral ceremonies in Los Angeles, she found herself participating in Lakota sweat lodges and learning to walk the “red road” meaning living life with purpose while on a path to positive change and experiencing and attending Sundances. She practices circles of healing through “la palabra/the word” in the Latino/indigenous communities and her teachings are open to all. A true believer in the In Lak’ech Ala K’in "I am you, you are me", Abuela Sara loves to share her experiences with women in particular young ones, praying to the Four Directions and the Sacred Elements. Nowadays, she practices Temazcales and what her Mayan ancestors called “walking the Sacbé” (sakbej) the White Road (Sac=white, beh=road) always in search of personal, family and community balance. Abuela Sara is founder of Mundo Maya Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles.

I had to leave Los Angeles due to inflation . And continue my teachings throughout the U.S., Mexico, and the rest of the world.
The teachings basically consist of connecting our ancestral thoughts to the present ; while directing everyone towards , maintaining harmony from the present to the future . With the reminder that to us , a generation is one hundred years.

Mountain Eagle
READ MORE
My Name is Mountain Eagle. I am from the First Nations here in North America. Washeshu is what we call ourselves, which translates as “All the People.” This includes land, air, water, animal, human and those other untold entities.
In my life, I learned many things from “All the People,” Nature as my teacher. I witnessed and remembered the songs and stories of my Elders and Ancestors. My life has been shaped by the both the hardship and beauty of my People. I returned into this life, after a long sleep from earth, protecting the medicine of my People. I bring you all practices that many humans have forgotten, that connect each and every one of us to the source of creation. Our intentions are very great and powerful. We are given life in the image of the creator, which is full of love, respect, honor, courage and compassion, all of which can be added to the pool of intention. Our intentions go into an electromagnetic wave, which surrounds the earth so that healing can begin. I have come to honor you, my Brothers & Sisters, by offering you a custom from the Washeshu, sharing myself in this way with each and every person who wishes to be a good caretaker, manager, and listener.
